Black Girl Gamers Rebranding

This project is a proposition for the rebranding of Black Girl Gamers (BGG) for the D&AD. BGG is a community powered organisation advocating for diversity in the gaming industry, denouncing the lack of black girls in the domain.

When rebranding their logo, we trying to keep the pixelated aspect already present and, a link to the gaming world, and we toned it down to romove the feeling of old gaming.

The circle represents unity and community. We also find that a graphic element as simple as a pixelated circle can easily be claimed by BGG, adaptating it in various media and even using it on merch.

To go further than branding, we thought of a way for BGG to spread their message further in the gaming industry. A module (downloadable
by all game owners) of the worldwide known game Grand Theft Auto V.
This module creats a game mode in which it is possible to play the game as a black woman, highlighting the difficulties met by modern black women in their faily lives.
I worked on this project in collaboration with Jeffery, Nour Ben Ameur, Corto Bert and Jeffry Moukarzel.
